Dead cavern of exhausted organs
I imagine my insides look like black hanging moist sacs, all steamy and gurgling. Dripping clotted froth. Dry rot in the corners. Pockets of writhing vermin. Stench of three week old casserole.

They only look like that for a few hours when hanging, then the air dries them out to look like dull, wrinkled containers of putrefying flatulence.
