I once went into a class for the first time and found a tv sitting on the podium - there were directions to turn it on and play a tape, the tape being a recording of the professor teaching the class. the directions continued for a few days before people went to administration, at which time we found out the professor had been dead for 3 years.

i thought that was appropriate.
